On January 13th, celebrate your favorite bath time toy! Rubber Ducky!

Since the mass production of rubber in the 1800s those classic yellow toys have been a mainstay in people’s tubs! No one knows the exact origin of this squeaky little guy, nor why exactly they are so fun! But, these simple yellow ducks have influenced everything from fashion to music. They variations now available range from occupations to rock and roll stars.

Have you heard of the great Ducky Incident of 1992?

A shipment of 29,000 rubber duckies fell off a cargo ship in the Pacific Ocean. These little guys have traveled around the world, following the ocean’s currents. Spotting’s have occurred ever since! Indonesia, Australia, South America, and the Bering Strait, the Arctic and the Atlantic Ocean are now home to these little yellow quackers. Have you ever spotted one?
