On Saturday, April 27, 2013 celebrate a day dedicated to STORY-TELLING! Tell a Story Day celebrates story-telling of all kinds. Whether it is fiction, non-fiction, a picture book, or a pop-up book, a tall tale, or a folk story. Maybe a story you come with on the spot? Today is a day to tell ’em all! Stories can be from a book, other written material, or just from your memory.
Tell stories to your children, your parents, your neighbors, your friends. Come to the library and find a new story to share with your family, or maybe pull out an old favorite you haven’t read in years! Set the atmosphere. Tell a spooky story with all the curtains drawn and a flashlight as a prop. Dress up in a pirate hate and eye patch and tell the tale of Long-John Silver! Bring decorations, set the scene, or just curl up in a comfy chair with your favorite person and a favorite book!
Enjoy Tell a Story Day and spread a tale!
