Read Nicholas St. North and the Battle of the Nightmare King by William Joyce & Laura Geringer. Then come to the library, eat pizza, discuss the book, and WATCH THE MOVIE VERSION ‘The Rise of the Guardians.’ Win prizes based on your knowledge.  Boys and Girls are welcome.

Club Middle School!

For those of you in Grades 5-8 there is a new club that will be held the first and third Thursday of every month. Club Middle School will be run by Ms. Heather and is all about you guys!

From 5pm-6pm (except for this first meeting on September 6, 2012) in the Community Room we will have homework help available for those of you who need some time to get schoolwork done, need a little help with a subject, or need to research a project or paper.

Then, from 6pm-8pm, it’s all about you guys! This month we will be watching The Hunger Games on September 6th, playing some board and Wii games on September 20th, and begin planning a fun October event that YOU will be putting on.

It’s on you guys what you want to do each meeting and what events you may want to put on at the library! ALL Club Middle School events require a sign-up, which you can do by going to www.manliuslibrary.org and clicking on the Events Calendar. Come with some ideas for meetings, some fun events we could put on, and any homework or questions that you might need a hand with! Hope to see you there!
